Natural Health: Naturopathy Program
Pursue a career in naturopathic medicine or gain valuable skills to help your family and friends with their health concerns. Wherever you fall in your program interests, we have something for you.
The Naturopathy program offers 4 years of training; at the completion of each year, a new certification and title will be awarded. Students are encouraged to commit to the full 4-year program, resulting in certification as a Certified Naturopath and the opportunity to take the national exam to receive the title “Doctor of Naturopathy”. Each year in the Naturopathy program will further equip you with the knowledge, skills, and depth needed to impact the world for health.
- Year 1: Natural Health Educator
- Year 2: Natural Health Therapist
- Year 3: Natural Health Practitioner
- Year 4: Certified Naturopath
Massage Therapy: Therapeutic Bodywork Practitioner Program
Develop your skills, become certified to practice as a massage therapist, and start a career in just one year! The Naturopathic Institute’s Therapeutic Bodywork program includes training in Swedish relaxation, deep tissue, lymphatic drain, pressure point, myofascia, reflexology, craniosacral, and more. Unique to our extensive program are classes in nutrition, advanced aromatherapy, flower remedies, and light healing touch therapy, as well as emphasis on ethics, professionalism, and business-building skills.
This is a 12-month training program that meets two weekends per month, requires 500 hours in-class instruction and 100 independent study hours. Upon completion of the Therapeutic Bodywork program, you are qualified to practice as a Massage Therapist in the State of Michigan.
Doula Training: Holistic Doula Program
Passionate about birth? We’re living in a complex time where the commonly accepted approach to birth needs to be reevaluated and we need doulas to help do just that!
Embark on a 6-month training experience that offers a career opportunity as well as a life-changing understanding of pregnancy, labor, and delivery. This program is designed to prepare students to assist in natural childbirth, both in the home and hospital setting. Unlike midwives who assist in delivering newborns, the Holistic Doula program’s focus is on supporting the mother through the pregnancy, birth, and early infancy phases. This program is unique to other birth assistant (doula) programs in that it includes training in multiple natural health modalities, such as nutrition, muscle testing, homeopathy, essential oils, and more.
